Perplexorum and the Missing Piece

Need something to do to pass the time between Coveted Bottle leads and flurries of activity on Tom Tooman and watching the Halo 3 Iris “ARG” flop around on the deck gasping vainly for water like so much escaped goldfish and cutting the eyes out of the dudes in all of the pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker that you’ve collected to add to your shrine? Us too!

And apparently the yucksters over at the Perplexorum did as well! And you thought we had nothing in common. They’re celebrating the lead-up to their first birthday with everyone’s favorite tradition, a puzzle trail! This one began on their forums and seems to have begun winding its way through a series of homages to ARGs gone by.

Fans of Perplex City Season 1 may welcome today’s scheduled diversion along the Perplexorum Trail, an homage to the “Receda’s Revenge” text adventure called, mysteriously enough, “The Missing Piece.” Piece of what? Pie!? It better be, that’s all I can say. If you want to join in, according to the site linked above the game will go live at 8pm tonight in the UK (that’s 3pm for you US east-coasters and 12 noon for those of us who know where it’s really at… west-siiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeede!).
