Nobody is completely innocent

Onschuldig

Those crazy Dutchmen are at it again with another internets mystery. Thomas van Hoorn was arrested on December 6th and imprisoned, for a theft he didn’t commit! Sound familiar? That’s right, “Thomas van Hoorn” is a possible alias for O.J. Simpson. Or maybe Winona Ryder! Wait, no, this has something to do with an art exhibit in the Utrecht Centraal Museum. Dang.

Luckily Winona Thomas managed to escape somehow, probably by hacking the electronic locking mechanisms with a bit of string and some rat droppings because the best way to prove you’re innocent of a crime is to commit one by evading justice.

But what does this have to do with us, you ask? Well, not a whole lot really, unless you speak Dutch. If you do, head over to Onschuldig to get started helping Mr. Simpson van Hoorn prove his innocence! Just because the evidence otherwise is apparently overwhelming doesn’t mean it’s not worth the effort. At the very least, maybe we could help this guy get a haircut, too! And by “we” I mean “you guys” at this in-game forum. Embedded YouTube video after the jump!

There ain’t no party like my Nana’s tea party.

By the way, our sources say, “We [are] quite open about the fact that the whole thing is a game; we see it as our mission to create a bit more of a mainstream ARG (in the local language) so people can slowly become familiar with this type of [game]. We do, however have enough puzzles for the hardcore player.” Enjoy!
